I have made some amazing new friends and lost a few others through death, disease and sometimes by choice. There has been a lot of war and there has been a little peace. So I will share the fourteen things I learned in twenty fourteen. Thank you to all who have inspired this writing\u2026 that by the way is all of you.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 1<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Be that guy that is always doing something interesting<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 2<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sometimes you need to burn a few bridges to stop the crazies from following you<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 3<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Spend time and not money on your children<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 4<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Find people who are BOTH interesting and interested (one is not enough)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 5<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There are different people in the world, listen to their story (and share yours with them)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 6<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don&#8217;t waste your time on people who only bring you down<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 7<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Your health is not guaranteed, but give yourself the best possible shot at a healthy life<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 8<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Doing kind things for strangers is an amazing thing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 9<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A lot of people die<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 10<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Laugh a lot<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 11<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A lot more people care about you and want to help you, than you will ever imagine<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 12<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The friends you make on Facebook are actually real friends, even if you never meet them<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 13<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Married or divorced put your anger aside and put your children first<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson Number 14<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fifteen things I choose to learn in twenty fifteen are entirely up to me<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This has been quite a year, some incredible highs and some staggering lows.
